Ah! November is here! I just love fall! The beautiful colors of the changing leaves and the cooler temperatures that make starting a fire in the woodstove so cozy. And after a hot summer there is nothing I like better than to get back to baking! Large loaves of whole wheat sandwich bread, sweet loaves of banana, zucchini or cranberry bread, muffins, biscuits, cookies, and pies.
For my birthday (last May) I got a new cookbook: King Arthur Flour’s Whole Grain Baking. It has over 400 delicious recipes! I have decided to challenge myself to make every recipe in this book. I have no idea how long it will take me but I decided to give myself a running start this month by committing to write about baking every day this month.
I also decided to bring sourdough back into my kitchen and began my starter last night. I will be writing about my success and failures with sourdough. I believe this will be my fourth attempt at sourdough. I am determined to keep up with it this time! I mean it!
