I just love this time of year! The coziness of gathering around a warm fire even when storms rage around us reading beautiful books that draw us together as a family and closer to Christ. Our Jesse tree is filling with ornaments. Most of the gifts have been purchased. Meals have been planned and life is beginning to slow down as we draw near to Christmas.
This year has been so much easier than last year. I can think back and enjoy the memories of seeing how God provided for us with 8potato’s birth without having to feel all the anxiety that comes with anticipation. (So hard to believe she is nearly a year old already!) I have been enjoying reading Elizabeth Foss’s Advent Bundle: Comfort & Joy sometimes even in the morning before the day starts. Just a couple more days are left in our semester for school and then we get to enjoy 2 weeks of goodie making, relaxing and planning for the new year. The peace that comes with a blanket of snow and fewer outside activities always draws me in. I just absolutely love this time of year! How about you?
Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” —John 8:12
