Here is the recipe for one of our family’s favorite cookies from when I was growing up.

2 cups sugar

1/2 cup milk

1/2 cup cocoa powder

1/2 cup butter

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

3 cups oatmeal

1/2 cup coconut

Mix the first 4 ingredients together in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Boil for 1 minute.

I can’t believe our oldest turned 9 last Friday! Time just flies by. We had a really fun day with family and then took her to our friends house for a suprise evening of horse riding. Here’s a couple pictures of her on her birthday and one of the baby laughing. Enjoy!

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We had a great weekend. It was 1potato’s 9th birthday on Friday, we spent Saturday cleaning/purging and then decorated our Christmas tree. I’m ready to get back on track so here is our menu for this week.
