Where did the time go?

I can’t believe that August is almost over. This year has been such a roller coaster ride. It is time for me to settle in and prepare for the baby. He or she could arrive in just a couple more weeks.

Its funny but I am trying new things for baby number 6. I ordered cloth diapers! I almost switched over with Emma but then I chickened out because I was just too overwhelmed by the shear number of choices! I ended up ordering the sampler pack from nickisdiapers.com so I can see which ones work best for us. My package should arrive by the end of the week.

I also purchased a birth tub to use in this labor. I’ve always heard how great water is during birth but it has never worked out before. I bought this one from YourWaterBirth.com. I am really looking forward to using it this time around!

Expecting 6potato

Just wanted to post a quick note to let you all know that we are expecting blessing #6 to arrive in September. We heard the heartbeat a couple weeks ago and everything seems to be going well.

Hope you are well and maybe I’ll have time to write more often on here. I have posted a few recipes and thoughts on www.investmentcooking.com.

He is Risen Indeed!

I hope you are having a wonderful day celebrating the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ!

Here are the words to a song that I love that expresses the gospel so wonderfully:

In Christ alone my hope is found
He is my light, my strength, my song
This cornerstone, this solid ground
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm

What heights of love, what depths of peace
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease
My comforter, my all in all
Here in the love of Christ I stand.

Verse 2:
In Christ alone, who took on flesh
Fullness of God in helpless Babe
This gift if love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones He came to save

‘Til on the cross as Jesus died
The wrath of God was satisfied
For ev’ry sin on Him was laid
Here in the death of Christ in I live

Verse 3:
There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain
Then, bursting forth in glorious day
Up from the grave He rose again

And as He stands in victory
Sin’s curse has lost it’s grip on me
For I am His and He us mine
Bought with the precious blood of Christ

Verse 4:
No guilt in life, no fear in death
This is power of Christ in me
From life’s first cry to final breath
Jesus commands my destiny

No pow’r of hell, no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand
‘Til He returns or calls me home
Here in the pow’r of Christ I’ll stand

Here are some pictures from 4potato’s birthday last week. We did a Good Night Moon party. 1potato & I went around the house collecting the items in the book and as Papa read the story 4potato found the item for that page. She had a great time!

Dh’s grandmother crocheted this dress before we had any babies. Now 4 little girls have been able to wear it. What a blessing!
